It appears to be a large golden ring, with a gem, presumably a ruby, on top of it.
Upon activation, several shields surround the player, and rotate around them, very similar to Barrier's effect.
Performance
Upon activation, it gives its user a 50% 
and makes them immune to most debuffs.
Strategy
Tips
- Use it when against someone with debuff-afflicting weapons, as Royal Guardian can completely negate said debuffs.
- Do not attempt to use this to counter weaken, charm or electric shock as it does not protect you from these.
- When facing a enemy using powerful weapon, this can help you survive the first shot.
- Its recommended to use this at full health if you do not have healing items, to prevent dying quickly and wasting the gadget
Counters
- Brute force through the barrier using weapons like Deadly Icicle or Ultimatum.
- Avoid using full autos agaisnt the user, as its DPS will be too low to kill them quickly, unless you are sure they are weakened enough.
- Coordinate a attack with your teammates to kill them faster, or make sure your teammate is already attacking if its a random.
- Do not try to wait out the barrier, due of its incredibly long duration and quick cooldown.
Trivia
- It has one of the longest gadget durations in the game.
- This is the first gadget that can negate negative effects. However, unlike the Sacrificial Altar, it does not filter out all status ailments.
