Death Animations
Overview
Death Animations trigger upon the player's death, and it differs from weapon to weapon. Notably, if one gets a Kill Assist, it will appear to the player as if they killed the enemy with their weapon in hand.
List of Common Death Animations
Ragdoll (Formerly Flying Angel)
- The killed player will drop to the ground, and start dissipiating pixel by pixel.
- Formerly, a white angel flew up from the killed player.
Disintegrate
- The killed player becomes a block of ash, and crumbles to the ground soon after. It disintegrates into red particles.
- Commonly seen in fiery weapons or heavy weapons.
Diffuse
- The player floats upward, is suspended mid-air, and diffuses into colored mist. The color varies based on the projectile's color of the weapon.
- Commonly seen in cybernetic weapons, with the majority of them being lasers.
List of Unique Death Animations
Dissolve
- The player floats mid-air, and dissolves with the weapon's projectile color until only the borders of their model is left.
- Exclusive to Sharp-Eyed Courier, Ancient God, Hades, and a few others.
Blood Explosion
- Same as Dissolve, but the player explodes into a cloud of red mist before dissolving.
- Exclusive to the blood-centered weapons.
Veteran
- The player will dissolve into red, cybernetic particles while leaving a red border that darkens.
- Exclusive to the Veteran weapons.
Petrify
- The player will turn into stone, and crumble.
- Is a variant of Disintegrate. Exclusive to Gorgon Head.
Goo
- The player becomes a pile of goo, and rapidly falls to the floor before disappearing.
- Exclusive to the Goo weapons, and Blacklight Pistol.
Anvil
- A cartoon anvil will appear above the player's head. The player will quickly look up before it falls and flattens the player.
- Exclusive to Anvil Pistol.
Capture
- A portal will be generated at the hip of the player, absorbing them and disappearing.
- Exclusive to Hypno-weapons.
Killed Target Explodes
Killed Target Explodes is an attribute that makes the enemies cause an explosion upon getting killed by the weapon. They do not have unique death animations per se, but the visual and sound effects differ from each other.
- Boom Blaster: The target explodes into blue and pink plasma.
- Anniversary Anti-Champion Rifle: The target explodes into a red, circular blast.
- Unconditional Knowledge: The target causes a dark pink and teal explosion, which sucks in nearby enemies.
- Molecular Rifle: The target turns into a pool of water, slowing and damaging enemies within.
- Moth Queen's Gaze: The target explodes, leaving a sky-blue pool with eyes coming out of it.
