Gorgon Head

From Pixel Gun 3D Wiki
Jump to navigation Jump to search

The Gorgon Head is a Special weapon introduced in the 17.8.0 update.

Description

It is a Greek mythology themed Special weapon introduced in the Olympus update. It deals a normal amount of damage with slight AoE, and has medium bullet travel time.

Appearance

The Gorgon Head is a head of Medusa attached to a handle. It is aquamarine colored, with many snakes in the place of hair. It also has yellow, glowing eyes and a crown.

Performance

The weapon shoots out a projectile from its mouth, damaging and piercing enemies in a straight line. It has average damage, but its travel time makes it quite hard to hit enemies. One of its attributes is Damage Reflection, which lets the user reflect 66% of the damage dealt to the enemy. This effect has a fairly low chance of triggering.

Strategy

Tips

  • Do not rely too much on the reflection.

Counters

  • Strafe around the user, and if the combat is occurring in a map with corridors, use weapons that are better at sweeping. Projectile weapons with Wall Break usually works very well.

Trivia

  • Like Medusa, this weapon is a reference to the Gorgons, which is a collective term for the three monsters(Stheno, Euryale, and Medusa) in Greek mythology. The Gorgon sisters have snake hair, and an ability to turn anyone who looks at their face into stone, which can be avoided if they are seen through a mirror or other reflective surfaces.
    • This weapon has a custom kill animation, where the opponent turns into stone and then crumbles down.
    • Among the three, Medusa's head was cut off by the hero Perseus. However, this weapon is in a set related to another hero, Hercules.
