The Katana, formerly called the Emperor's Blade, is a Melee weapon introduced in the 6.0.0 update.
Description
Appearance
The weapon has a red Tsuka handle with a navy blue Tsuba handguard on it. The blade is a silvery color and is curved, it also features a navy blue ridge with presumably japanese letters printed close to the collar of the blade. The weapon also features a Nobori, a type of japanese flag-like banner, the banner is colored navy blue with red letters to fit with the Katana itself. There are also two blade sheaths, one for the Katana itself and another with a smaller bladed weapon still in its sheath, presumably a Wakizashi.
Performance
It has mediocre damage, a fast attack speed, high mobility, good range, and a good hitbox. it is a 2-3 shot when maxed out.
It possesses 2 primary attributes: Bleeding(
), and Acceleration After Killing(
)
- Bleeding deals small damage over time to the target upon being hit.
- Acceleration After Killing boosts your movement speed temporarily upon killing an enemy.
It has no Delay Mechanics, meaning you can safely switch to and from any weapon without a delay penalty.
Generally, it has good performance but is outclassed by similar melees.
Strategy
Tips
- Use it as a finisher if your enemy is within its range, not only to save ammo but also due to the Acceleration After Killing.
- Aim for the head to maximize damage.
- Due to its low base damage, it's best to avoid crowds and instead focus on single targets.
- Instead of fighting head-on, try to ambush opponents instead.
Counters
- As with all melees, keep your distance.
- In case you get ambushed, pull out an Area Damage to quickly dispose of them.
- Try to rush its users, as Katana can easily be overwhelmed.

Trivia
- The sword used to follow the design of a traditional Japanese Katana, However, due to its redesign in 22.6.0 it now resembles closely resembles a Tachi due to its blade being more curved than a standard katana.
- When the developers have revealed the Katana potentially being available in the August 2020 Community Van, they showed a picture of its old form, the Ninja Sword, instead of showing the Katana in its currently existing form.
- This weapon's Gallery description mentions "Cuborais", when the reskin of this weapon, Last Samurai has the original Japanese warrior name.
