—Weapon's description in Gallery

The Cash Gun is a Special weapon introduced in the 23.8.0 update. It was obtainable in the Black Friday Event for 500 Black Friday Coupons.

Appearance

Taking some aspects from an M32 grenade launcher, this money shooter has a cylinder chamber with three light green neon holdings, which is cut halfway revealing its stacks of bundled bright green cash piling up to its feeding system, a gray body is visible though its three-toned purple frame along its loading port, trigger guard, off-hand handle, and along the edges of its cylinder. Above its bright light green trigger is a neon light green U.S. dollar sign with minor visual effects, followed above by its light green open sight. From the leftmost view, the launcher has a bump stock and rightmost, a muzzle break which has three rectangular neon green serrations with a light emission visual effect that glows from left-to-right every second and looping.

Cannisters that are sent off come in the form of a roll of green cash, illuminated by a green particle, with a tail-end piece indicating it's not an amorphous blob of money. As the initial bullet travels off, it leaves behind a light bright green translucent trail, several sticks of cash disperse from the reaction along with a bright green muzzle flash. Following the trigger pull, a 400 millisecond animation begins, rechambering the mound from underneath the cylinder.

Once the wrap bashes onto a surface, it enters a 500 millisecond timer that once run down, will prompt the sprite to combust into a green spherical blast with a light bright green epicenter and a translucent light green shockwave engulfs the fragment. As this envelops, money scatters instantaneously the moment the explosion occurs.

Because of the design of its munition, the character will first withdraw the commerce remaining in the gun, then take out the drum 600 milliseconds preceding. Before the frames finish the avatar reattaches the cartridge to the insertion and then pulls new paperbacks from out and under the basin in an action similar to that of a belt feeder system seen in a Stoner 96.Performance

Inspired by past installments of recursion weapons, such as the Sock Bomber, the projectiles that linger from this gun move to great velocity, bouncing a maximum of six times before that roll of cash bursts, with over fifteen rounds, a high rate of fire, and above par damage, this Special excels in the confines of preemptive strikes, low verticality maps, and swathes of enemy players; where its strengths reveal to great avail as no longer is the user pried to the dangers in isolation with Jetpack's and long distance encounters with hitscan weaponry.

Only improving its better quality attributes, this weapon can make great use of its passive ability, which enables it to generate 30% more points for its handler whenever they finish off opponents, enabling for low-kill games to maintain greater rewards at the end of matches, as compared to much more acclimated players whose many combat items cannot compare to the resolve of such a reliable bonus.

Strategy

Tips

  • It's best to wield this weapon in Deathmatch - given its BonusRevengePoints.png.
  • Always neutralize the range gap with this weapon, as though its projectiles can move quickly, they cannot adequately deal with Sniper's and a multitude of other instant-hit weapons.
  • Stay inside confined spaces, i.e. buildings, to make the most of its ricochets.
  • Don't worry about being loud, fire this weapon as often as possible whenever turning corners.
  • Keep the heat on, don't reload unless absolutely necessary.
  • Target multiple corners of a given surface to create volleys of refraction.
  • Don't avoid directly impacting an opponent, do it if forced.
  • Maintain some distance from enemies at all times, a benefit of its projectile is its ability to hitmark outside its assumed contact point.

Counters

  • Try to "relocate" the battle outside compact spaces or play in more open maps.
  • Jetpack will force the user to either avoid you, or pursue you using aim alone.
  • Use WallBreak.png items with large projectiles (if possible) to neutralize or ward off places of interest for the handler.
    • Nets Thrower -removebg-preview.png, Warhorsekillicon.png, and Shipsdrownerkillicon.png to name a few.
  • This gun is noticeably susceptible to weapons which generate ConsecutiveExplosions.png.
  • Nuclear Grenade's can indirectly force the carrier to change position.
  • Target the holder first out of a field of enemies to bar them from accumulating a great deal of points.

Equipment Setups

Encountering enemies in great distances, or at the peril of "joyriders" use any Rifle to finish them off in quick succession; notable ones should include the Brutalrainbowkillicon.png, Anti-champion rifle icon.png, or Laser carbine icon.png. Among various others which can down maxed opponent's in two or less shots.

It should be noted that because of the classification of this weapon, scampering to a Primary to dish out a lethal Ultimatum icon.png, Deadlyicingkillicon.png, or Viking icon.png shell onto such attackers in a moments notice may take to much time, but can be feasible - particularly with a controller.

Most paramount of these choices is the Mafia Set which although rids the player of any combat items they consistently use, they will reap a thirty precent quantifier from kills! Each elimination grants twenty-five points (disregarding cumulative points for stacking fallen rivals mind you), which means just eight vanquishes can get handlers into the top 3/winning team most often.

Popularity

Ever since its release, Cash Gun has been regarded as one of the best specials in the entire game, and has been used widely by many players, due to its fast firerate, high damage, and BonusRevengePoints.png. Even after its nerf, it remains one of the most popular specials in the game.

  • Mobility increased from 65 to 75.

24.5.0

Trivia

  • Previously it did not stack with the point multiplier of the Cape of Gifts. Using this wear now will boost it from 19pts (a kill) to 38!
    • Additionally the Mafia Set has been reworked, rather than enhance accumulating score by 2x, it is now 1.3x.
    • While this change helps stagger the former heights this paper-pusher could reach, handlers can make full use of the ladders mentioned, and recuperate 50pts a kill - a mere two point reduction from its original combo.
  • It resembles an M32 Grenade Launcher.
  • Whenever entering its reload sequence, the user will find that the dollar icon flickers twice, once when the characters left hand retrieves the money, then another inserting the currency back into the port.
  • If immediately impacting a surface, the projectile will last for 500 milliseconds thereafter.
    • Firing into open space and the explosion does not take place until 1.5s has lapsed.
    • Taking all that into account, maximize this weapons damage potential by punting rounds onto surfaces several blocks away, rather than point-blanking them; as the object rocketeers into open space it can tag a target whilst creating its path, then returning again, rather than being lost in the process of recursion.
  • Technically speaking, the requirement of obtaining this item was through the solicitation of approximately one-hundred USD (for 1,000 Black Friday Coupons, necessary to completing the event), outside of Tapjoy Offers, making it the second most expensive gun in the game.
    • Just a month later the Deadly Icicle premieres, which demands 384 stars total to reap, being roughly four-hundred bucks to buy outright (Although it could easily be unlocked by completing tasks in the Christmas tree event or by playing the Christmas showdown event)! Speculation says this is a win-win for the Developers since players must make do with the challenges ahead, or compromise at a 400% "pricing".
