Dragon-X
The Dragon-X is a Sniper introduced in the 24.2.0 update. It can be obtained in the Lunar Light Event through a chest in which you have a mild chance of getting it, along with many other weapons.
Description
A slow-firing Lunar New Year themed sniper rifle with high damage and average other stats.
Appearance
The sniper rifle is mostly green with a golden bell for a magazine and a dragon wrapped around the barrel. It's theme tied into the Lunar New Year season of its release.
Performance
This weapon has a rather high damage--enough to one tap Ultimate Defense Armor body with good mods and wear, balanced by a poor fire rate. it can be abused for killing players through walls with the utmost ease. Its delays let it be viable for cat spam to many guns.
Strategy
Tips
- Spam in maps with cover and walls.
- Point capture modes are its optimal territory for abuse.
- Cat spam to offset its fire rate, but be warned about its input and output delay.
- Bring an optimal loadout to stay viable in different environments.
Counters
- Move around a lot to make the person using this sniper rifle miss. Because of its slow fire rate, they won't be able to make very fast followup shots.
- Due to its poor ability, you can evade easily or kill them with melee.
- As is the case with most snipers, and guns in general, strafe and jump to make them more likely to miss.
Recommended Maps
Equipment Setups
Pair with a 3-cat spam loadout, or other faster firing guns, and something with a large AoE and a fast mobility or grappling weapon. The x-ray glasses gadget is rather pointless with this gun.
