The Pasta Sniper Rifle is a Sniper weapon introduced in the 23.2.0 update. It can be obtained from the Ultimate Chef's Creation Super Lottery. It is one of three weapons in its set along with the Pasta Grater and the Pasta Maker.

Description

Pasta Sniper Rifle is a Food/Pasta themed weapon which fires laser beams in single shots at an average fire rate for a sniper. It has average damage, good capacity, low mobility, and great attributes. It is typically a 1-2 shot kill, though with a critical hit after reloading it can be a one shot kill to the body as well.

Appearance

The Pasta Sniper Rifle consists of a green and blue metallic body adorned by steaming piles of pasta and meatballs. The base of the gun's barrel is shaped like a cheese grater. It features a small metallic bipod towards the front of the barrel, which moves when the gun is fired or reloaded. It also moves slightly during the gun's animation when the player moves around while holding it. The Pasta Sniper Rifle does have a functional scope, which has a green viewfinder and is located on top of the weapon.

The gun is mostly green and blue, with turquoise, silver, yellow, and orange highlights also present in various locations. It, like all three of the weapons in the Ultimate Chefs Creations Set, is meant to resemble cooking equipment, in this case most likely a cheese grater.

During the idle animation of the weapon, the player can be observed fiddling with the weapon's bipod and eating one of the meatballs located behind the scope of the gun.

Performance

Tapping or holding the fire button causes a yellow laser with instant bullet travel time to be fired. This causes massive visual recoil, but virtually no actual recoil both when hip fired and when in the scope. If an enemy is killed by a shot from this gun, they will explode, dealing damage to nearby additional enemies. This explosion can deal over 130 damage at close range. Reloading this gun instantly replenishes the player's missing health and armor, similar to the Heavy Cone Minigun. This weapon is capable of dealing critical damage, but only after reloading. The first hit after a completed reload will always be critical, regardless of if the player dies or switches weapons before landing a shot.

This weapon has both Input and Output Delay, meaning it gives delay on some weapons that are associated with Three Category Spam like the Thunderer and Reflector. It also receives a delay if those weapons were shot, then quickly switched to this weapon.

Strategy

Tips

  • Pasta Sniper Rifle has the same healing abilities as Heavy Cone Minigun, use this to your advantage by reloading after receiving damage.
  • This weapon is extremely good for use by itself, as if the player fully utilizes its reload critical hits it can be a one shot kill every time.
  • Conversely, this weapon is not the best option for 3-Cat Spam, as two of its three attributes require the weapon to be held for a long period of time and reloaded, which is not something commonly seen in said playstyle.
  • Hiding behind cover to reload after performing a kill can be a good way to take advantage of this weapon's abilities.
  • Instead of waiting for a reload to finish, switch weapons to cancel it, then fire a shot and reload again. This will allow you to heal much faster, although this will not activate the critical hits ability.
  • Aim for the head.

Counters

  • Kill them quick. If you fail to do so, they will have the chance to fully regenerate their health.
  • Try to jump to avoid shots and use an area damage weapon to take out the user.
  • Moving erratically, strafing, and jumping often will make it harder for an enemy using this weapon to kill you.
  • Use a weapon that can kill in one shot, so as to prevent the enemy from using the healing attribute repeatedly.

Popularity

Ever since its release, Pasta Sniper Rifle has been a very popular choice for all players, mostly due to its unrivaled healing potential, easily able to recover any damage you've taken, and with its CriticalDamage.png on the first shot, can serve as a pseudo One Shot. For its high versatility and utility, its no surprise that this sniper is a common sight.

Equipment Setups

Due to its low mobility, make sure to use it with a high mobility weapon, such as Double Cashback or Bloody Terror Axe. Equipping a weapon which is stronger in close quarters, such as a shotgun or heavy like the Viking or Destruction System, will allow you to perform better at close ranges, which the Pasta Sniper Rifle is not designed for. This gun is very well suited for prolonged sniper battles, such as those that take place in Sniper Forts, so using it on it's own is also a viable option.

The Ninja Shurikens, Cyber Bees, and X-Ray Glasses all pair well with this weapon.

Trivia

  • It is the first weapon to possess the First Shot is Critical attribute.
  • It is not necessary to complete the reload of this weapon in order to be able to heal again, simply starting the reload and then firing another bullet will allow the player to heal again. However, this is not true for the critical damage attribute, which will only activate after a fully completed reload regardless of whether another bullet is fired.
  • This is the second weapon to fully restore health and armor on reload, but the first to possess them both in the same attribute.
  • This weapon is based off of The Flying Spaghetti Monster (The deity of The Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster)
