Description

The Dark Ritual is a formidable heavy, with it’s high damage and relatively low skill floor, it is a lethal weapon in the hands of any player, good or not.

Performance

It has high damage, a below-average rocket speed, a fast charge, slow reload, and long rocket range.

Strategy

Even though abusing the plasma rocket is tempting, it is more effective to go for direct hits, as when you go for a direct hit the plasma rocket’s bolt damage gets added, drastically boosting the damage you deal in a single hit.

Tips

• Go for bodyshots.
• Shoot in large crowds to maximize your damage.
• Use this against Jetpack users to hit easy shots.

Counters

• Use a stronger heavy, such as the Event Horizon, to easily outperform your enemy.
• Avoid tight corridors.
