The Portal Rifle is a Heavy weapon introduced in the 21.3.0 update.

Description

The Portal Rifle is a Heavy weapon of the Mythical grade introduced in the 21.3.0 and obtainable from Super Portalius Event Set.

It has slightly high damage, a good fire rate, low capacity and low mobility.

Appearance

The Portal Rifle takes the appearance of a futuristic portal generator. It's body appears mostly black, purple and blue along with several white details. Most of the generator is mounted on the front of the rifle and has three black pincer-like energy generators with crystals. Gravite crystals appears on the left and right and a portalium crystal appears on the top.

Performance

This weapon has Fixed Delay, meaning that there will be a short pull-out animation every time a player switches to this.

If you hit a suitable surface it make a portal if get two portals they will link up allowing for instant travel between two points.

Strategy

Tips

• Use this how you would use the Portal Cannon but without the need to charge.
• While this gun is mostly for utility, it has a large area damage. Use this offensively when you are desperate.
• Use the Pouch module to turn it into a highly offensive heavy.

Counters

• Avoid portals, as the person who created it may come through and catch you off-guard.
• If a portal was just created, stand in close proximity from it to get a chance to ambush its users.

Equipment Setups

Use it with any powerful shotgun, such as Springy Shotgun, to both protect yourself if you get ambushed, and to use as a powerful ambushing tool once you leave the portal.

Trivia

• The Portal Rifle is the second Heavy weapon to posses the Teleportation attribute with the first one being the Portal Cannon.
• It is also the third weapon with the teleportation attribute, the first being the Portal Cannon, and the second being the PGA-02 Gates.
• Despite it having the Teleportation Attribute, it doesn't require charge .
  • The green crystal's name in game is Gravalite, or Gravalith.
  • While the Purple ones are know as portalium, hence the weapon can make portals.
• The front half of the weapon heavily resembles the Portal Gun from the Portal series of games.
