The Disguised Rifle is a Primary weapon introduced in the 18.1.0 update. It can be obtained from completing all 6 challenges from the Extended Summer Season Battle Pass, It also came with the Undercover Agent Avatar and the Surf Daggers.

Description

It is an assault rifle disguised as a lifeguard float. It has decent damage, an extremely high fire rate, average mobility and average capacity, but with ammo recharge.

Appearance

When not in its weapon form, it resembles a red life guard float with a yellow stripe. In its weapon form, it is a red assault rifle featured a red/grey body with a red pistol grip, a grey magazine, a grey barrel, and a red 4x scope. Inside of the rifle, if you look close enough, you can see the intricate and precise metal-works of it. Its barrel when in firing form is cyan blue just like the rest of the sensors.

Performance

When the fire button is held, the weapon will fire hitscan bullets. In addition, the scope features X-RayVision.png.

When reloading, the user will eject the used magazine and insert a new one.

Every 1-2 seconds, the weapon will replenish 5 bullets back to the reserve capacity.

It has Fixed Delay. This means that once the player switches from any weapon to this weapon, the Disguised Rifle will always have a pull-up delay lasting around half of a second.

Tips

  • This weapon is a general-purpose close-medium range Primary. This is due to its high rate of fire, and its virtual limitless ammo supply.
  • It can also be used in longer range with its scope.
  • Be wary of the ammo capacity, as being careless can deplete its ammo reserves quickly. Try avoiding wasting too much shots against targets at longer ranges.
  • Aim for the head to maximize damage.
  • Use the scope and fire in bursts when dealing with enemies at long range.
  • This can be used as an effective means in defending against melee users. Fire while aiming center mass or the head while backpedaling.
  • Try flanking around enemies while firing at them from their blindspots, this is effective in close quarters maps such as Pool Party and Coliseum.
  • Try hiding in an area when the reserve capacity is low and wait for a sufficient amount of ammo has been restored.
  • It has X-RayVision.png. You can use it to detect hidden enemies.
  • Using the Ammo Restore ability, it can be very useful during clan raids and monster sieges.

Counters

  • Pick off users at an extremely long range.
  • Area damage and shotguns make quick work of users in close range.
  • It is deadly to attack head-to-head against users at close range due to its high suppressor and accuracy. Instead, try flanking around the user and surprise-attack them from their sides.
  • Stick to cover when being suppressed by its user, use throwing gadgets such as the Frag Grenade to damage or kill the user from behind cover.
  • Strafe around users while attacking to make them deplete their ammo reserves.
  • Don't try to hide, because the player will be able detect you with the X-RayVision.png. However if you do try to hide, try running and strafing constantly.

Recommended Maps

All maps except Sniper Forts and Knife Party.

Equipment Setups

  • To be more efficient and ammo conservative, first shoot a high damaging heavy or sniper and then use the Disguised Rifle to finish them off after you get a shot in.
  • A good backup weapon is always helpful and an 85+ mobility melee will allow you to traverse the map with ease and speed.
  • This is one of if not the most versatile weapon in the game, as it can be used at all ranges and has a limitless ammo supply. It's X-RayVision.png scope allows you to locate all your enemies. However, if you are not accurate then you should bring an AreaDamage.png weapon or a shotgun, and of course always bring a high mobility weapon and a sniper with a 10-X scope to fight in extremely long ranges.
